I have heard guys say that women are just as interested in pornography as men are. It is my experience that once women pass the age of about 30 they become relational in their sexuality as opposed to visual as is common with men. In fact I have discovered that most adult women hate pornography with a passion. They are disgusted and feel betrayed when their husbands or significant others are found to be going there.
What do you say about this ladies? What would you like me to know? |

| I can say from experience that this was true for me. I used to enjoy watching porn once in a while in my early twenties. I ALWAYS watched with my boyfriend and now husband. When I had my kids, my preferences started to change. I didn't have the time or the ambition or desire to watch anymore porn. I'm approaching 30 now and I have not been interested in porn for about 5 years now. It just became dirty; more so when I found out that my husband was addicted. Things have been really good for about 5-6 months now because my husband has not been looking at the porn. We have a blocker and I think he finally realizes that he has a problem and that what he was doing was hurting me and pushing me to consider divorce. I'm so appreciative of this forum because it helped me get feelings out that I couldn't. It also helped me see that I'm not alone. While I don't wish anyone to go through the pain I've gone through, it just helps to know that this isn't just my battle. |

I'm glad to hear that things are going better and that your husband is not watching porn anymore. I hope it continues.
One of my good friends went through the same thing. She use to watch with her boyfriend, now husband. When she got pregnant, he continued with his porn use. She no longer found it apealing. She figured it was just because she was pregnant, and that when she had the baby, he would stop. The child is almost 3 years old now, and he is still chowing down on porn while she is taking care of the baby.
I've tried to install a porn blocker on their computer. He tried to delete it, and ended up messing up his entire computer. I fixed it, and put the block back on. Once he realized there was no way around it, he nagged his wife to remove it. She eventually gave in. We sat up talking one night. She told me how much she hated it. How things have changed. She blames herself. Coming up with excuses such as since she's had the baby, she's always so tired. She's not as much fun anymore, not as energetic. She's not as pretty, too fat. Truth is, she is thinner than before she had the baby. I tried to tell her this. Tell her that He is the problem, not her. but she won't listen. |
